I build web software — Rails on the backend, React on the front. Twelve years in, across healthcare, education, e-commerce, and ad tech. Currently at Smartly.io in Berlin, where I work on the platform that moves billions in advertising spend.
I care about systems that hold together under pressure, code the next engineer can read, and teams that can actually ship. I studied at Rhine-Waal University and never really left Germany — Berlin suits me.

I've been fascinated by aviation since I was a kid. These days I'm turning that into something real — training for my PPL at Schönhagen (EDAZ), flying a Robin HR 200, and passing exams along the way. The methodical, checklist-driven discipline of flying has genuinely made me more precise as an engineer.

My day-to-day spans high-throughput Rails services (think: a lot of data moving fast), React-based campaign UIs, background job infrastructure with Sidekiq, and Kubernetes-managed deployments. I've been here since 2019 — long enough to have opinions about most corners of the codebase.
